Acknowledged authors are active members of the Timeless Way community who are allowed to contribute to Ockham. The only way to become an Acknowledged Author is by invitation of the Esteemed Editor. In fact, the Esteemed Editor and the Acknowledged Authors are the editorial board of Ockham. They decide what Ockham is, and how it will develop. They also set the standards for publications in Ockham.
Q: What can I do to become an Acknowledged Author?
A: Not much, I, the Esteemed Editor, will invite you if I think that Ockham will benefit from it. However, it is always a good idea to contribute to Jefferson a lot, both by publishing new material there and by contributing to topics that were originally written by others. But beware! a high activity level on Jefferson is neither a necessary nor a sufficient condition to become an Acknowledged Author. In the end it is the Esteemed Editor who decides who will be invited.
Q: Can I publish a topic in Ockham if I am not an Acknowledged Author?
A: Yes, you can. However, it is the Esteemed Editor who decides if your topic is accepted for publiction. To propose a topic for publication in Ockham, you first have to contribute it to Jefferson. You can ask the Esteemed Editor to include it in Ockham (please send him an email in which you explain why your contribution should be in Ockham). The editor will review your topic, and if he thinks it is indeed a valuable contribution, he will move it into Ockham (perhaps after settling some copyright issues with you first).
